USA falls short in the finals to Lithuania DeAngelo Alexander, USA, Tourney MVP 5/24/02- It was a 2-point game inside 30 seconds, despite the USA missing three starters who fouled out the game, but the USA, couldn't connect on a dunk, free throws, and missed tip-in opportunities, and Lithuania made their free-throws to bring home an exciting 109-103 win over the USA.
5/24/02- 8 yr-old 2nd grader, Drew Davis has become a big part of the Douai World Amateur Basketball Championships and a french favorite.. They call him little Tony Parker, (french player with the San Antonio Spurs). Drew was asked to toss the ceremonial jumpball before the championship game between Lithuania and the USA. Lithuania defeats USA to win 16th Annual World Championships 2002
